Finns are most inspired by nature when decorating their homes, according to a survey commissioned by the Association for Finnish Work. Recycling of materials also provides inspiration, especially for female decorators. Nature is also the inspiration behind the Association for Finnish Work’s KOTI – The Mindscape of the Finnish Home exhibit at the Habitare expo, which has been executed in collaboration with the Association’s member companies.

KOTI exhibit space at the Habitare Fair pays tribute to Finnish expertise by showcasing over 70 Finnish businesses
Starting this Wednesday, the unprecedented KOTI exhibit space comprising a total of 360 square metres will be on display at the Habitare Trade Fair. The KOTI concept, developed by the Association for Finnish Work, shows the versatility of Finnish know-how. The stand has been built and decorated with products from 74 Finnish businesses.
Design Deed of the Year Award to Useful Stuff Oy for manufacture of Drop Outdoor Pools
The 2015 Design Deed of the Year Award goes to Useful Stuff Oy and its manufactures ergonomic Drop design pools. The Association for Finnish Work gave special recognition to the business enterprise from Kaarina today in connection with the Habitare Fair. The criteria for the award are originality, a sense of responsibility, and design as part of everyday life.

Shortsi- ja sandaalikelit hellivät meitä, mutta suomalaiseen tyyliin kuuluu kuitenkin todeta, että kesä alkaa olla ohi. Päivätkin alkoivat lyhentyä jo kauan sitten Juhannuksena! Syksy ei ole onneksi tarkoita ainoastaan viilenevää säätä, pimeneviä iltoja ja loman loppumista. Silloin on mielestäni vuoden reippain olo ja tekee mieli nähdä ja tehdä kaikenlaista uutta. Lisäksi oma koti tuntuu taivaalta kaikenlaisten mökki- ja rantamatkojen jälkeen.
