What kind of product or service is eligible for the Design from Finland Mark?

Products and services from Finnish companies that have invested in professional and user-oriented design can apply for the Design from Finland Mark. The company’s headquarters must be located in Finland and it is transparent about its products’ or services’ production chain structure and country of origin.

The Design from Finland Mark has been awarded to hundreds of products or services from digital solutions to products of industrial design.

Access granted by the Key Flag Symbol Committee

The right to use the mark is granted for three (3) years at a time on the basis of applications by the Design from Finland Committee that consists of impartial experts. The information required for using the mark is reviewed every three years upon renewal.

What happens after you send your application?

SUBMITTING THE APPLICATION

Make sure your application has all the necessary information before you send it.

2.

APPLICATION REVIEW

The committee secretary will go through the information in the application after receiving it. We will contact you if we need further information.

3.

APPLICATION SENT TO THE COMMITTEE

Applications are delivered to the committee for review one week before the meeting. Send your application two weeks before the meeting to have it processed by the committee.

4.

COMMITTEE MEETING

The committee secretary presents the applications at the meeting, after which the committee will approve or reject the application.

5.

AFTER THE MEETING

We will inform you of the committee’s decision the day after the meeting by sending an email to the address provided in the application.
