Finnish Work’s complaint process regarding misuse of trademarks
The use of the marks granted by the association always requires membership of the Finnish Work and a valid use right granted by the mark committee. In order to obtain the mark, the applicant with a business ID must demonstrate on the application form that they meet the criteria for the mark and undertake to provide correct and sufficient information about the product and/or service for which the mark is being applied for.
Complaints related to the misuse of marks must always be made in writing and in their own/company name. We do not process anonymous complaints. All information about the complainant is confidential, but if an unfounded complaint causes financial harm to the object of the complaint and results in legal proceedings, the information is public.
